Demons Never Die

Wednesday 26 October 2011

Demons Never Die is finally being released this Friday...just in time for Halloween (good bit of marketing as it's a horror!)

Thought I'd put up a few Demons pics...because I'm obviously very excited about it!

Written and Directed by Arjun Rose (first film as well!), Demons is a slasher film a bit like  the 'Scream' franchise or 'I Know What You Did Last Summer', the sort of horrors I watched as a teenager, so it's nice to be part of the first British one. Working with such an amazing cast was the biggest draw for me, some of the best up and coming British talent are in the film and I genuinely got on with them all, in fact I'm still in touch with most of em!

We filmed the title sequence at the beginning of the film at Riverside Studios, which was really nostalgic for me as I started out acting there, going to workshops with YoungBlood Theatre company. It made me feel quite chuffed to see how far I'd come!

You can check out the opening scene exclusively on Grime Daily here:  http://t.co/KMg84AGi

The support for the film has been lovely, both from other UK actors and also the UK music scene. In fact the Demons Never Die soundtrack features tracks from Jessie J, Devlin, Rizzle Kicks, Tinchy, Wretch 32 and the title track from Dionne Bromfield ft Mz Bratt, and a bunch of them turned up to the premiere. Feels like the UK film scene are really getting together and supporting each other, and there's a very 'Team UK' feel at the moment. The music scene has been on this for a minute and is now really flourishing so we've all got high hopes for the UK independent film scene over the next few years.

So before the sun disappeared and it got realllly cold, my good friend and photographer Paolo Casseb dressed me up and took these photos! It looks like we are in some exotic location instead of West London and I like the kinda early 90's vibe.
