I bought this skirt for £2 when out shopping with my mum and sister, who were convinced I would never wear it...well ha! I knew I'd be able to wear it, I love the bright vibrant colours and it was perfect for a day at the market and wine tasting at Le Chateau while in Tunisia. You can see how excited I was for the wine in the above photos and we all managed to pick up some super cheap bargains at the market, some of which I'll be showing off on here soon!

I wore this outfit on holiday with the girls in Tunisia and when asked what I was calling this look I called it Fairy Princess. The ethereal pale teal colour and the satin of the skirt made me feel like a princess and the crown added to the fairy feel for a night of smoking shisha at the hotel.

Cotton Candy Colours

I got this adorable little woolen jacket from a charity shop this summer for £4. There was a matching baby blue one with a rip in the lining that the lady was going to throw away so she threw it in for the same price and my Nan did some sartorial SOS and saved it for me. Even with just regular jeans and a vest, add a slick of candy pink lipstick and I automatically feel like a lady who lunches.

The Anomaly Screening

Just a quick one from earlier this week when I attended a gala screening of 'The Anomaly' at the Ham Yard hotel in Soho.

I'm wearing a vintage blouse that I picked up at the Fairfax Flea market in LA for $15, a H&M leather skirt and Zara heels.

The Anomaly is directed my old friend Noel Clarke and stars himself, Ian Somerhalder, Luke Hemsworth and Brian Cox. Out in cinemas today! #SupportBritishFilm

This week I met up with my friend and 'Victim' co-star Natasha Sparkes for a catch up at Brixton Village. We had a bit of a look around some of the cool vintage shops and checked out a few of the restaurants to decide where we wanted to eat. Seven had a lovely candle lit, rough and ready ambience but was very busy so we settled on an adorable Mexican place, Casa Morita. The Margarita's were strong and sweet and only a fiver (happy days) and while we weren't overly impressed with the presentation of the tacos and quesadillas they actually tasted fine and were a good price. All in all very cheap and cheerful.

Brixton Village boasts a number of little deli's, cafe's and restaurants offering cuisine from all over the world, I saw Mexican, Thai, Latin, Italian and good old Honest burger. Casa Morita is so little that diners have to pop across the way to Bukowski's to use their toilet, and I was charmed by the toilets covered in poems by the poet Charles Bukowski.

Well summer seems to well and truly have left us and so quickly too! Cold and rain have descended upon us which requires warmer clothes and warmer colours. I love this dark red colour, it's so autumnal and this varsity jacket is very American cheerleader haha.

 

My friend Louise wanted to try out this little pub called The Hunter S in Hackney's De Beauvoir so we headed down for a mid week dinner. The pub is named after eccentric American journalist and author Hunter S. Thompson who wrote Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the décor is a nod to his love of excess - taxidermy hanging on the walls, saucy pictures in the toilets and a huge chandelier hanging from a copper ceiling! It was very cosy and got busy later in the evening with groups of friends celebrating birthdays and their pretty cool lives (that's what it looked like anyway) so booking a table is advisable is you want to eat. We had pumpkin, sage and goats cheese risotto, olives and the most amazing sweet potato wedges followed by an alcohol soaked almond tart with ice cream (we shared ;-0).
